ALDA, like all other organizations, has been hit in an adverse way. There were major financial losses in terms of low fees collection. However, as the situation has improved, ALDA is gradually recovering. We hope that there will be better days in the upcoming new academic session of 2022-23.
The last two years, when we all were battling with COVID, ALDA started focusing on the Information Technology (IT) skills and usage.
The Zarina Shamim Scholarships Program (ZSSP) has been established to pay an on-going tribute to Mrs. Zarina Shamim for her fifty years of dedicated service to girls’ education. She continued working for the success and sustainability of Ala-ud-Din Academy (ALDA) till her last days. She was fully committed to serve the community of Baghbanpura, Lahore, Pakistan and strongly believed in women education.

We, at Ala-ud-Din Academy Girls High School (ALDA), fully realize the importance of information technology. In order to impart the knowledge of computers and information technology (IT), we have established a ‘Computer Technology Center (CTC)’ with air-conditioned computer labs and upgraded computers. The Center is headed by Rehan Siddiqui who is the Director of CTC.
CTC offers different packages and courses after regular school timing. Classes are offered separately for boys, girls, men and women. There is no precondition of education or age for these courses.
“I am Assistant Director (Technical) in the Planning and Development Dept. of Government of Punjab. I graduated with BSc. Civil Engineering and am currently doing MS Engineering in Hydraulics and Irrigation. I will be enrolled in the PhD program next year. I have a passion for writing and recently published my first book, ‘Phir Hua Younh’. I also dedicate my time to social causes involving animals and birds. ZSSP has not only been a source of great pride for me but also a tremendous motivation. In addition to the financial aid, it also made me realize my true potential. It helped me comprehend that a girl too can be a productive member of our society and a pillar of support for her family. Thank you ALDA and thank you ZSSP!”
